Make your voice heard at Bridges to Change Conference

East Renfrewshire Council is set to host the annual Equalities and Human Rights Community Conference.

Bridges to Change, which is taking place on Wednesday, March 13at Eastwood House in Giffnock, is an opportunity for residents to discuss the progress toward making East Renfrewshire an equal and accessible place for all.

As well as speakers, there will be workshops for participants to discuss their experiences of living in East Renfrewshire and any areas of work they feel could be developed over the next two years.

Convener for Education and Equalities, Councillor Paul O’Kane, said: “Equality matters for all and here at the Council we are committed to ensuring that no-one is disadvantaged or left behind because of their age, ability, gender, ethnicity, sexuality or religion.

“This event is a fantastic opportunity for your voice to be heard, so I’d encourage you to come along and play a part in continuing our important work.”

The conference will get underway at 6.30pm, finishing at 8.30pm. Registration and refreshments will be available from 6.00pm.
