Two friends are taking to the sky this Sunday to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
Linzie Steele and Elle Steele will be skydiving in St Andrews, Fife, with proceeds going to local charity Nicola’s Ninjas.
Nicola’s Ninjas is a Family Fund set up by Diane, Nicola’s mother, with the goal of raising funds for more research into congenital muscular dystrophy, as well as funding valuable support for her.
To date the fundraising total is £1,120 – smashing their original target of £800.
Linzie said: “We agreed to do this over a few glasses of wine – it wasn’t until the next day that I realised what we had done! We decided to do a skydive as last year Diane completed this challenge and we would like to support her by doing the same.
“We’ve spoken about doing it for a while and decided to just go for it.
“We were lucky that there was a skydive event coming up. There’s no training involved, you just turn up on the day and go for it
Linzie continued: “It’s such a great cause that is very dear to our hearts though, so we want to raise as much money as possible.”
