Dance yourself fit and happy

A new event to help shed stress and anxiety takes place in Newton Mearns this weekend.

Bollywood Yoga Dance and Meditate is a unique introduction to the happiness programme to learn techniques that increase well being through reducing stress, increased health and well-being, improved self-esteem and a deeper sense of community.

The Bollywood Danceis a fun way to experience joy. The dance movements typically consist of neck, shoulder, arm and hip rotations and different leg movements.

The Yoga Dance includes an element of semi-classical Indian dance where different expressions with the finger mudras reflect the inner Beauty and outer Joy, with a sequence of yoga asanas to flow into the rhythm of Bollywood music.

This is followed by a one hour free talk “SPRING into Happiness from 11.30 -12.30 pm.

The event takes place at Mearns Parish Church on Saturday, April 14.
