Craft Beer Fest comes to Shawlands next week and The Extra readers can get discounted tickets.

Lovers of beer, ale and cider are in for a treat next month when Craft Beer Discovery takes over The Shed in Shawlands.

On Saturday, March 3 guests can sample drinks from ten independent, artisan breweries and enjoy live music throughout the day from musicians Rebecca Kowalski, Facing North and Tabby Detroit.

Sharma’s Street Food and Prime Street Food will dish up street food to make sure no one goes hungry and the gin and fizz bar serving premium sprits offers something different to pints.

This is the first time Craft Beer Discovery has come to Glasgow, after successful events in Falkirk and Dundee, and organiser Andy Ure from Harbro Events said it’s shaping up to be a great afternoon out.

Andy said: “The line up of breweries for Glasgow is fantastic, we have lots of really local beer makers bringing beers that even the most dedicated beer fan won’t have tried.”

The full line up of brewers is: WEST, Thistly Cross Cider, Up Front Brewing, Jaw Brew, Tryst Brewery, Loch Lomond Brewing, Top Out Brewing, Eyeball, Ride Brewing and Merchant City Brewing.

The event runs from noon to 6pm and Southside Extra readers can enjoy discounted tickets, using the code EXTRA to get tickets for just £8, instead of the usual £10.

Entry includes a CBD branded pint glass and tastes of the dozens of beers, ales and ciders exhibited.
