Citizens Theatre Share the Magic of Christmas with Pay It Forward Campaign
Following a successful campaign in 2017, audience members helped to raise £6,400 through donations with ticket purchases and bucket collections at performances.
As a result more than 750 local primary school children will be able to attend A Christmas Carol at Tramway for just 50p per ticket next month.

The theatre hopes to build on the success of the 2017 campaign and raise even more this Christmas with an ambitious target of £7,500.
Reaching this target would mean almost 900 school children would benefit from a trip to the theatre in 2019.
Dominic Hill, Citizens Theatre artistic director, said: “We want everyone to have access to high quality theatre and our Pay It Forward campaign helps break the down financial barriers that often make it impossible for teachers to organise a school trip at Christmas time.

“Even the smallest donation can make a big difference and I thank all of our audiences for supporting this year’s appeal.”
Those attending A Christmas Carol will be able to make a donation into special Pay It Forward buckets at the end of each performance at Tramway.
