A project set up to provide training and employment for those with special needs is expanding due to its success at Eastwood Health Centre.
The Greenhouse Cafe, which operates on the ground floor of the new building has gone from strength to strength, so much so, that they are to open an new outlet in Barrhead.
The cafe was recently visited by the areas MP and MSP who were given a tour and met with some of the people involved.
Commenting East Renfrewshire MP, Paul Masterton said: “In providing a full spectrum of employability training for adults with additional support needs, the Greenhouse Café really is an inspiring and worthwhile initiative.
“The programme equips trainees with the skills and self-confidence to go out into the workplace, providing them with opportunities they likely would not otherwise have had.”
Commenting Eastwood MSP, Jackson Carlaw said: “It was a pleasure to visit the Greenhouse Café, having previously tabled a Scottish Parliament motion on this successful social enterprise.”
