Families will join fundraisers and puppies at the beginning of autumn as the Bramble Ramble comes to Pollokshaws.

Dozens of people are expected to attend Canine Partners’ Bramble Ramble Fun Day from 12pm on Sunday, September 2.

The event will raise vital funds for the charity which trains amazing assistance dogs to transform the lives of disabled people, boosting their confidence and independence.

The dogs are taught a range of everyday tasks including picking up and fetching items, opening doors and dressing a person. They can even help to load and unload a washing machine and they can fetch help in an emergency.

The fun-filled afternoon will take place at Pollokshaws Burgh Hall and includes a sponsored walk within the grounds of Pollok Country Park, demonstrations from the Canine Partners demo team and the chance to meet puppies in training.

There will also be craft stalls, a pop-up café, a raffle with prizes such as a Fitbit Alta, tombola and children’s activities.

Tickets cost £5 in advance or £6 on the day. Children go free.

The event is wheelchair accessible.
