Black & Lizars has Cartha Queen’s Park RFC in its field of vision

The agreement will see Black & Lizars branding appear across pitchside advertising at Dumbreck, where Cartha play their home matches, as they become the club’s ‘Optical and Audiological advisor’.

Black & Lizars aims to use the partnership to raise awareness of the importance of eye health among rugby players at all levels of the game.

As part of the agreement, the club’s players will be offered complimentary enhanced eye exams.

Cartha Queen’s Park runs senior men’s and women’s squads catering for all levels of ability and experience.

They also operate youth squads catering for more than 200 local children aged between 5-17.

Allan Beckett, director at Black & Lizars, said: “Cartha Queen’s Park are a forward-thinking community-based club working with hundreds of rugby players, many of whom we know as loyal patients at our Giffnock practice.

“This partnership will help us raise awareness of the importance of good eye care in the sport among players and spectators.

“Rugby players require good vision in order to make the right decisions on the pitch, so we would encourage all players, regardless of age, ability or experience, to ensure their eyes are checked regularly.”

“This partnership also means we can continue to deliver services across the entire rugby club and make a positive contribution to the local community.”
