Seven East Renfrewshire libraries ready to welcome back readers
East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure has announced plans to reopen several libraries next week for book browsing, computer access and click and collect services.
Customers will be welcomed back to Mearns, Eaglesham, Neilston and Thornliebank libraries on Monday. Giffnock, Clarkston and Barrhead Foundry libraries, which have been operating click and collect services and computer access since April, will also be available for book browsing.
Scott Simpson, from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure said: "Our staff have been working hard behind the scenes to get ready, while offering selected services, as part of our reopening plans.
"Clarkston Library has benefited from refurbishment and users will see improved lighting and layouts, upgraded computers and more new books to enjoy. There is also better space for children's events and activities, which we hope to be running again soon.”
Customers are urged to book a one-hour slot for book browsing and PC sessions in advance. For more information visit www.ercultureandleisure.org/YourLocalLibrary
