The pair retired shortly before Christmas but not before wholehearted tributes were paid to both ladies for the difference they made to the life chances of so many pupils.Head teacher Robert Birch said: “Our whole school community will greatly miss Basie Grieve and Amanda Mori. They are both outstanding teachers who have had a positive impact on many many Dalziel pupils. In addition to classroom teaching they are both central to a wide range of extra-curricular trips and events. They will both be impossible to replace and we wish them both long happy retirement."
