Giffnock Primary’s winter-themed windows spread festive cheer
Normally, pupils share their Christmas celebrations with family, friends and neighbours, but this year the Covid-19 pandemic has put paid to the usual community activities inside the school.
Not to be undone, the youngsters were still determined to put on a display for the local community.

Natalie Stead, acting principal teacher, said: “The children have created the winter-themed windows for the local community to enjoy. It’s their way of sharing some festive cheer as this year unfortunately we can’t invite them in to share in any celebrations.”
The artistic display will be up until some time in January so people can browse the windows at a time that suits, or just when they are passing, while distancing safely.
