The Trust charity is posting a timetable of fun fitness classes each week, hosted by their trained fitness instructors, to help keep kids active and entertained while at home over the summer.

Children will be able to join in a range of classes including dance, boxfit and yoga hosted by three fitness instructors, who will be leading the moves for kids of all ages.

Fitness instructor and actress Kirsty MacLaren, who has an Olivier Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actress and played Princess Margaret’s Dresser in Netflix series The Crown, will lead the first kids’ dance sessions.

Kirsty, from Barrhead, said: “I’m thrilled to be leading these classes for children over the coming weeks, especially when many kids are missing out on their usual summer holiday fun.

“The short sessions will be varied, exciting and packed full of fun to keep the kids on their toes. We hope everyone can join in!”

East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure staff will also be leading fitness sessions with children of key workers over the summer holidays.

Anthony McReavy, from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, said: “Our packed summer holiday programme is usually one of the highlights of our calendar so this year we’re looking forward to bringing some fantastic, free fitness classes online instead.

“All of our classes will be hosted live but can then be accessed at any time so they can fit around your summer schedule.

“We look forward to welcoming the children of key workers along to our summer holiday camps, where we have lots of sport, fitness, art, drama and fun games lined up too.”
