“One of the groups we provide as part of our East Renfrewshire Day Services (also known as RAMH Causeway) is the “Dig In” group. This is a seasonal gardening group that takes place at Rouken Glen Park every Friday, giving service users the opportunity to share, exchange and further develop existing knowledge and skills around gardening and wellbeing self-management.”

Michelle McCabe, Centre Manager at The Avenue said: “Our shopping centre is rooted at the centre of our community and we continue to support local groups such as RAMH on a bi-annual basis.”

RAMH encourage engagement in outdoor spaces which can have a hugely positive impact on a person’s wellbeing, as well providing an opportunity to socialise with people who share a common interest, helping to combat loneliness and social isolation.

Michelle McCabe added: “We look forward to hearing more about the greenhouse the “Dig In” group plan to purchase with our funding, just in time for the summer months.”
