New Lanark World Heritage Site – ice cream parlour!
For more than 20 years The Chocolate Box Ice Cream has been a favourite treat for both locals and visitors alike.
Now the secret recipe and the rights to produce it have been taken over and it is to be re-named and re-launched as New Lanark Ice Cream.

The Trust’s press officer Cassandra Frame said: “The now former Chocolate Box ice cream rights owner Jim White was brought up right here in New Lanark!
“Jim is working alongside us on a consultative basis. So, the name might have changed but that iconic local ice cream is going to taste as great as it always did.”
Mill No2 will become the new ‘home’ of New Lanark Ice Cream – complete with an old-fashioned ice cream palour.
