Co-op serves up new store for Newton Mearns residents

Co-op is set to open a new convenience store in Newton Mearns this weekend (Saturday, 27, March) following a £566,000 investment which will support 12 local jobs in the community.

The new 2,500 sq ft store on Mearns Road will run on 100% renewable electricity, opening between 7am -10pm 7 days a week.

The store includes customer car parking and a bakery alongside an improved focus on fresh, healthy produce. Ready meals and pizzas, award-winning wines, free-from and vegan products, Fairtrade, food-to-go and, everyday essentials are also widely available.

Students in Mearnskirk who are TOTUM cardholders can pocket a 10% discount off groceries at the Co-op.

Contactless card payment limits are increased to £45, making it easier, quicker and safer to shop.
