Battlefield salon nails vegan beauty treatments

Earlier this month Battlefield welcomed two new businesses in the shape of hair salon Whiplash and Nova Nails.

Located under one roof on Sinclair Drive, Whiplash Hair Salon and Nova Nails offer customers an extensive choice of vegan products and treatments, as well as a nail bar which is 100 per cent cruelty free.

Jackie Logan, of Nova Nails, said: “I rent a space in Whiplash which has vegan options in its products. To complement that, and so there wasn’t a conflict of interest, I use all vegan products – it helps the environment and also the wee fluffys!”

Running Nova Nails is a change of career for Jackie, after years in sales and customer service.

“I really wanted to do something that showed my creative side, and chose to study beauty therapy,” Jackie said. “Pamela, the owner of Whiplash, saw my designs and asked if Iwanted to do it full time.

“After talking things over with my boyfriend, I decided to just go for it! I’ve been open for about three weeks ands business is doing really well.”
