GLASGOW City made amends for crashing out of the UEFA womens champions league by securing the double.
After losing 7-0 (17-0 on aggregate) against German Champions Turbine Potsdam, Glasgow City returned to domestic duties where they are normally on the other end of such scorelines.
casting their disapointment to one side, the ladies lifted the Scottish cup, with a 3-0 win over Hibernian at Toryglen.
Christie Murray scored the only goal of the first half, with Hibs doing well to resist City pressure.
City scored their inevitable second after the break when Lisa Evans — creator of the last goal — placed a right foot shot into the bottom corner.
She added her second when she scored from the edge of the box, in what was a showstealing performance.
Head coach Eddie Wolecki Black said, “I would like to congratulate players and staff on their efforts throughout the season and it has culminated in winning the double.
“This is not just a reward for the first team, but for everyone connected with the club.
“This just caps off a marvellous season for everyone and hopefully we can do even better next year”.
