Spiders search for three points

FRIDAY night football is still a bit jarring for football fans, but that looks to be the way things are going.

And so it is that Spiders play Stirling Albion tomorrow evening and still looking for a league win.

After drawing last weekend against Montrose at Links Park, Gardener Speirs is still looking for that three points.

And it seems a long way since that fantastic victory over Elgin City in September, with Elgin now sitting above QP in the league table.

But the Hampden lads will be looking to take all three on Friday by taking the scalp of bottom team Stirling.

A win will see QP leapfrog Peterhead to third place – at least until 4.45pm on Saturday after Peterhead face Montrose.

Pollok are in cup action on Saturday when they take on Glenafton in third round of the Emirates Scottish Junior Cup.

The tie follows from a 2-1 win against Shotts in the Stagecoach Super League.
