CRAIGHOLME are set to compete in the Scottish schools cup this month after defeating all comers in the West of Scotland qualifiers.

The S3 teams of Craigholme, Hutchesons’ Grammar, High School of Glasgow and St Aloysius played a round robin at Craigholme’s sports complex whilst Jordanhill, Glasgow Academy, Kelvinside and Lomond School did the same at Hutchie.

The top two from each pool went through to the semi-finals at Craigholm.

High School defeated Kelvinside in one semi-final while Craigholme defeated Glasgow Academy in the other.

After exciting end to end hockey, Emily Harrow broke from her own half and went all the way to score.

An outstanding performance by Craigholme goalie, Fiona Bell kept the scoreline 1-0 to Craigholme.

The southsiders were undefeated during the tournament and conceded just one goal. Craigholme will now play in the S3 Scottish Schools Cup at the National Hockey Centre on March 13.
