AFTER a shakey couple of weeks, injury-ravaged Queen’s Park finally secured their place in the playoffs with a resounding 5-1 win against East Stirling.
The Hampden crowd were jubilant during the Spiders’ first win in seven games, as Jamie Longworth ended his goal drought by scoring his first goal since February.
Davie Anderson was also on form, scoring a goal of the season contender.
The club suffered a blow with the news that defender Ricky Little will miss the rest of the season after a freak injury in the warm-up for the Saturday’s game, breaking his metatarsal bone.
However, QP also received a boost with news Davie Anderson is among the first players to have already committed themselves to staying with the Spiders next season.
Concern grew around the club that QP would not make the playoffs after a makeshift squad fell 2-0 at Annan last week.
The Spiders, who are in third place but equal on points with second place Peterhead, visit Montrose on Saturday.
