BOTH the men and women’s teams were on winning form at the weekend in the Aberdeen Asset Management national leagues.PSL Team Sports Clydesdale grabbed a 4-0 win, after losing to better teams in recent weeks, over visitors Gordonians.

On the score sheet for Clydesdale were Ciaran Crawford, Michael McKenzie, John Martin and Steven McKnight.

Over in the women’s league, Milne Craig Western shrugged off their recent poor scoring form to defeat Dundee Wanderers 3-0, but all three goals came in the second half.

Susan McGilvray set the scoreboard moving with a fine penalty spot conversion, Morag McLellan’s reverse stick shot kept it turning and Ali Howie made sure that good things come in threes.

But it was Edinburgh university, on the same points as Western but with superior goal difference, who moved into second place with a confident 6-3 victory over Giffnock.

Internationalists Nikki Kidd with a hat-trick and former Western captain Sam Judge accounted for five of the goals.
