Susan’s cap call
Susan Egelstaff
SCOTLAND today named their squads for the European men’s and women’s team championships in Amsterdam from February 14-19.
Clarkston’s Susan Egelstaff again made the squad — meaning she will add to her 87 international caps.
She will be joined in the team by newly-crowned national champion Kirsty Gilmour, who won the women’s singles on Sunday at the Yonex Scottish national championships.
Linda Sloan and Rita Yuan Gao complete the line up.
Scotland, take on England in their opening contest of this qualifying event for the Uber Cup Finals in Wuhan, China in May.
The top three teams qualify for the finals. After facing England, the Scottish women will take on Switzerland and Italy.
The group winners will go into the quarter-finals where they face the winners of Group three, where Netherlands are the seeds.
