Pringle goes for gold

GIFFNOCK’s Adam Pringle has been named top seed for the Scottish national junior badminton championships on Saturday.

The tournament - which takes places at Glasgow’s national badminton academy at Scotstoun on Saturday- will include the top twenty three top ranked under 11s in the country.

In the doubles competition, where the southsider will team up with Stonehaven’s Josh Mackay, he is also top seed.

The Carolside primary pupil’s dad, Iain, competed in the 1986 Commonwealth games in the sport and his sister, Caitlin, is already a Scottish junior international.
