Fighting the weather

Pollok are in action on Saturday against Irvine Meadow XI on Saturday in the Stagecoach superleague premier division.

Kick off will be at 1.45pm at Newlandsfield.

Saturday’s game against Clydebank was called off because of weather.

Lok will be without left-sided defender Michael O’Hara, who has been released from his contract by mutual consent.

A club spokesman said: “All at the club would like to thank Michael for his efforts since arriving at Pollok, and wish him every success in the future”.

Pollok have been drawn against Beith in the Scottish junior cup fourth round, Saturday on the 19th January 2013. Meanwhile, last year’s player of the year Scott Morrison was named man of match in Arbroath’s 1-1 draw in the cup against SPL giants Celtic.

Queen’s Park face Annan Athletic in the league on Saturday at 3pm at Galabank Stadium.

The derby against Clyde was postponed on Saturday and will now take place on Tuesday.

The kick-off at Broadwood will be 7.45pm.
