Braidholm not breached by Kelso
GLASGOW Hutchesons Aloysians cruised to a comfortable 15-0 win over Kelso in a Premiership 2 game at Braidholm last weekend.
For most of the game GHA had both possession and territorial advantage and it was only in the closing stages that the visitors seriously threatened the home side's line.
Despite almost total dominance GHA could only muster a 7-0 lead at the interval thanks to a great follow-up and interception from full-back Ross McClymont who raced clear to the posts for stand-off Jamie Noonan to convert.
GHA continued to control the game and missed a couple of good chances to increase their lead with Kelso offering little in the way of serious attacking play.
Within minutes of the re-start Noonan stretched GHA's lead with a penalty when Kelso were caught offside.Once again GHA took up the offensive and a great, surging drive by all the forwards ended with flanker Jamie Pinder crashing over.
In a rare attack Kelso had a chance but a knock-on spoiled any chance they had.
In the closing stages they at last seemed to get some determination into their play and they hovered around GHA's line for the final few minutes but by then it was far too late.
This win now moves GHA into a comfortable 5th place in the Premiership 2 table.
