QUEEN’S Park will look to get back on track after suffering their hardest defeat of the season to their Glasgow rivals.

Rangers scored four second half goals without any reply at Ibrox on Saturday. The Hampden side remain in second place, but are now 22 points behind the league leaders.

QP’s next fixture is on Saturday when Berwick Rangers come to town (KO 3pm).

Meanwhile, dates have now been confirmed for the postponed matches against Clyde, Elgin and Berwick.

First up, the Spiders will visit Clyde on Tuesday, February 26. After that, it’s off to Elgin on Tuesday, March 5, with the final rearranged fixture now taking place at Berwick, on Tuesday, March 12. All three games are scheduled for 7.45pm kick-offs.

The next Hampden game against McCoist’s men, due to be played on Saturday, April 6, has been switched to the following day with a noon kick-off. The SFL Division 3 fixture will be televised live on ESPN.

Southside neighbours Pollok go into Saturday’s cup clash against Shotts BonAccord looking to rediscover their form after losing 1-0 to Clydebank on Saturday.

Kick off on Saturday at Newlandsfield is at 2.15pm.

Elsewhere, in sunnier climes, a 20-strong Queen’s Park’s youth squad finished their Spanish tour with a perfect record for this year’s Da Vinci camp.

In their final game, the boys defeated Denia 4-1 with goals from Gregor Wylie, Blair Spittal, Thomas Collins and Nicky Fraser.

Earlier, QP beat Valencia Under 18s 4-2 in their first game — despite going a goal down. Helped by a double from Blair Spittal Queen’s fought back to run out 4-2 winners.

Their second game pitted them against an excellent Levante youth squad.

Again the Spiders lost the first goal; again they fought back to win. The scoreline this time was 2-1, with goals coming from Kieran Galloway and Bernard Coll.

The Da Vinci Initiative — which allowed Queen’s Park’s youngsters to take a trip to Spain — is Funded by the European Community, and administered in Scotland by the SFA. The initiative aims to offer young footballers a gateway to a career in the game.
