Cumbernauld Colts awarded lottery grant for women’s football programme

Cumbernauld Colts have been handed a welcome cash boost in the form of a grant from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland.

Colts will receive £1,190 from the National Lottery’s community fund in partnership with Sportscotland.

The cash will fund a new social football programme for women.

Club development coach Chris McLaughlin said: “We are delighted to have received Awards for All funding. This money will go towards introducing a new women’s social football initiative where females age 16 and over can come down to Broadwood and participate in fun, organised games of five and seven-a-side football.”
