ST CADOC’S under 19s blasted their way in to the Scottish Cup quarter finals with a stunning 12-4 victory over a good Cumbernauld United side.

The team started well with goals from Ciaran McKay and Chris Mcfadyen. Cumbernauld made it 2-2 before a stunning free kick by Gordon Young gave St Cadoc’s the lead. Adam Hannah extended it to 4-2, but by half time Cumbernauld had pegged it back to 4-4. This cup tie was on the knife edge in blustery conditions.

However, St Cadoc’s stormed the second half with an incredible further four goals from Adam Hannah, another long range effort from Gordon Young and a hat trick from Stephen Trainor to give a pretty emphatic score line.

St Cadoc’s now face Dunblane away in the quarter finals.

Due to a number of players moving on from this age group, the club are seeking to recruit some new players who are born either 1994 or 1995. If interested please email chairman@stcadocs.co.uk to arrange a trial.
