Cumbernauld swimmers head to Australia for International Children’s Games
Swimmers Lucy McGhee and Chloe O’Hara of Cumbernauld Swimming Club have made the grade and are part of Team North Lanarkshire, as is their coach Tricia Naido.
Both girls are 15. Lucy attends St Andrew’s High School and lives in Annathill while training with Cumbernauld Swimming Club, while clubmate Chloe O’Hara lives in Cumbernauld and attends Greenfaulds High.

Hide AdThe team will jet off to Lake Macquarie, in the Australian state of New South Wales, for the competition which runs from December 6 to 11.
North Lanarkshire has been represented in the Games since 2008and co-hosted them with South Lanarkshire in 2011.
The games were founded by the Slovenian sports instructor Metod Klenenc. After the horrors of World War II he founded the Games to bring together young people from various countries in friendship. The first Games took place in 1968.
