IN THE last few weeks, Glasgow City captain Rachel Corsie has led her team to important league victories over title rivals Hibernian and Celtic.
She also last Thursday captained City to their first cup final of the season, following the 4-0 defeat of Forfar Farmington in the Premier League Cup Semi-Final.
Amongst all of these important matches, Rachel started her 100th League game for Glasgow City, since moving from Aberdeen Ladies FC in the summer of 2008.
Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said, “I think it shows remarkable consistently she has managed to rack up 100 starts for the club in such a short period of time.
“People tend to forget that Rachel is still only 22 years of age and is continuing to develop as a player.
“She is a regular internationalist and has captained both club and country.
“I believe she has a lot more potential to fulfill”.
Glasgow City kept their place at the top of the SWPL with a thumping 11-0 win over Inverness at Petershill Park on Sunday.
