Glasgow City moved five points clear at the top of the SWPL after a 3-2 win over Rangers at Petershill Park.
An own goal from Melissa Krnjiac opened the scoring, with Leanne Ross and Denise O’Sullivan adding goals of their own
The win gives City some breathing space at the top of the League but head coach Eddie Wolecki Black was disappointed his team allowed the game to go close within the final stages.
“We have got the three points which is the most important thing,” he told ExtraSport. “I am really disappointed in the fact that we are 3-1 up and the game is done and dusted and from their only shot in the second half, they score from it.
“But we have the points there, we are five points clear at the top and are in a good position and we will only be stronger from this. We now look forward to the cup final.”
Glasgow City are in league cup final action tomorrow (Wednesday) night. They face Hibernian at Ainslie Park, home of Spartans FC.
