Giffnock North AAC’S Running Section is launching a new series of jogging sessions aimed at beginners.

The club’s Chris Marsh said: “We will be running an eight-week block of beginners’ sessions, for just £10 per person, which will be discounted from the fee for those who join the club.”

Sessions start next Thursday, February 12, at 7pm from Giffnock North Clubhouse.

He added: “Of course, it’s not about the income, it’s about encouraging and motivating anyone who is interested in getting more from their running or simply pushing up their fitness level.”

Participants are promised an achievable challenge for anyone who can jog or run for thirty minutes or so, in the sociable company of friendly, like-minded runners who understand what you’re going through – and the benefits you can achieve.

Said Marsh, “We look forward to making a difference to local people’s enjoyment of their jogging and running. Just turn up ready to run.” There are more details on the club website.
