CLYDESDALE'S internationalist Qasim Sheikh has made a good start to his winter in Pakistan.
He has joined the Academy set-up of the Customs club in Karachi, and aims to become the first Scottish-born cricketer to play in a first-class game in Pakistan's domestic league.

In his first fixture of Pakistan's inter-academy tournament, the 24-year-old left-hander made a match-winning 70 batting at number four, including four sixes, the top scorer for his side.
