Your chance to help ‘Pistol’ Pete
Peter Moore is a prolific sportsman and an inspirational ambassador for disability sports.
He plays rugby, tennis and, now, golf — thanks to the invention of the Paragolfer wheelchair aid that allows disabled people to take up the sport — but he’s probably best known as coach and player with West of Scotland Warriors wheelchair basketball team.

Pete has paraplegia and his condition is worsening to the extent that he now needs a new wheelchair to enable him to continue to play sports and nurture new talent.
“I really appreciate what my friends are doing to help me,” said Pete, 54, from Newton Mearns.
“I’ve been playing sports since my accident in 1983 and have only had two chairs im that time.

Friends are organising a race night in Whitecraigs Rugby club next month to raise as much as possible towards the £5,000 cost of a new chair.
At the race night there will be other entertainment, raffle prizes and games.
Any businesses wanting to contribute prizes would be greatly appreiciated, said friend and race night organiser Kate Doherty.
