MANY readers will recognise this image, though it’s doubtful any will remember the time. The housing is still the same, but our picture was taken before 1914 — the year the First World War broke out. As far as we can make out, the picture was taken at Linwood Avenue and, looking along the road, we can see a small group of children on the street. There are also a few more trees lining the street, but all in all not much has changed in this quiet area of Clarkston.
