TALK on local charity - Fiona’s Eye Fund, enabling doctors and nurses from Scotland to work in developing countries to impove eyecare - at Giffnock South Parish Church. 7-8pm, tea and coffee served after.

MONDAY JANUARY 19

PLAYTIME at Eastwood Park Theatre. Introduce under threes to music. Runs 30 mins and free to join, but tickets are required. Call 577 4956 for more info.

SCOTTISH Wildlife Trust talk entitled Living on a remote seabird reserve. Join Laura Cunningham at Duff Hall, 7.30-9.30pm as she discusses her summer as a ranger on Handa Island. £3 entry, £2 for SWT members and free for children. More info on 433 9099.

LEARNERS invited to try their hand (or foot) at Scottish country dancing. The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society are at Hillpark Secondary every Monday until March 16, 7.30-9.15pm. RSCDS members £4, non-members £6 - and remember to wear soft shoes.
