CRIME writer James Oswald appears at The Avenue Shopping Centre, 7-8.30pm, signing copies of new book Prayer for the Dead. Free event but booking required on 616 3933.

SOUTHSIDE Street Food Showdown returns to The Glad Cafe today and tomorrow, with Babu Bombay Street Kitchen taking on Beep Beep Tuk Tuk. Tickets £5, four course dinner £15 and payable on the night.
