SOUTHSIDE commuters are facing disruption this weekend with the news that many trainservices will be put on hold this Tuesday.
ScotRail have announced, though, that buses will be in place to replace the rail services.
The company is training its drivers to familiarise themselves with new signalling.
Affects areas are the Cathcart Circle, Neilston, Newton, East Kilbride and Barrhead.
Passengers are warned that the times of the buses will not necessarily reflect train times.
Road restrictions mean that buses cannot call at Maxwell Park station and travellers are asked to make their way to either Pollokshields West or Crossmyloof station instead.
Passengers to and from Thorntonhall station should use ScotRail’s minibus service to connect into the bus service at Busby station.
Buses will run in both directions between Glasgow and Barrhead calling at all booked stations and connecting with train services at Barrhead for journeys further south.
Normal service should be resumed by midday on April 2.
