Eastwood Entertainers are hoping that their take on The Full Monty will play to packed houses - and they assure us the male performers are staying true to the original!

The show kicks off on Tuesday, April 26 and will run through to Saturday, April 30 at Eastwood Park Theatre.

In an interesting twist the male cast got their kit off to be photographed for a charity calendar, raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer charity, Cahonas. The calendar will be available to buy at all performances, but there are limited stocks so make sure you get yours early.

The show, which is based around the closure of the Ravenscraig steelworks in Motherwell explores life on the dole for the many who lost their jobs, but always keeping Scottish humour to the fore.

The men, who have been rehearsing in a local bowling club were doing their thing and had stripped off down to their boxers, when suddenly a cry went up that in the next room a group of elderly men and womem were at a committee meeting - apparently the ladies all said the meeting should be cancelled as they had better things to be doing!

Show times are Tuesday to Friday at 7.30pm. On Saturday there will be a matinee at 2.30pm before the evening presentation at 7.30pm. Prices from £13. Call 07511 684 266 or www.eastwoodparktheatre.co.uk
