A wellbeing centre in Langside is asking southsiders: How fit and healthy are you and your family?
Finn’s Place was set up by Langside Parish Church last year to encourage residents to look after themselves that little bit more, and will this week host a family fun day where visitors can have a laugh, play games and check their fitness levels at the same time.
The charity has invited experts from the Glasgow Science Centre Fit Lab along to test strength, agility, balance, endurance, speed and coordination — but all in a fun, no pressure way.
Ruth Forsythe, projects co-ordinator at Finn’s Place, told The Extra: “There will be cookery demos, fitness and health stalls, refreshments and fun for all the family.”
The event runs Saturday November 8, 2-5pm. Entry is free, although the charity would appreciate donations for refreshments.
