Stars and ships in their eyes

ITERPLANETARY seafaring rockers Viking Galaxy are back after a summer hiatus.

The Glasgow based band hope to provide gig-goers with an out of this world experience at the ABC 2 tomorrow (Saturday) —doors 7pm.

Lead singer William Hill told Scene: “My space cape has been gathering dust for too long.

“We’ll be playing some classics and perhaps a couple of surprise numbers too.”

Founded in 2008 in Glasgow, Viking Galaxy are currently working on material for their second album, after the release of debut album First Contact.

Catchy melodies give the music a broad appeal while thunderous riffs and soaring vocals guarantee something for every music fan.

Every Viking Galaxy gig is a theatrical event that combines costume, props and comedy with well-written, catchy power metal.

Front man William not only provides the vocals and a barrage of tongue in cheek comedy to entertain the crowd, but he also distributes (fake) helmets, swords and axes to the audience.

William is joined in the line-up by bass player Ross Keightley, guitarist Michael Parkin, drummer Alasdair Dunn, and even a keytarist, Mathew Brown.

Tickets are £10 on the door, or from www.ticketweb.co.uk open to all (but under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult).
