Police Scotland is appealing for information following an indecent exposure incident in Muirend on Monday, September 26.

Around 11am a 65-year-old woman was walking in the old cemetery on Netherlee Road when she was approached by a man who exposed himself to her. The man then ran across Netherlee Road into the new cemetery and towards Linn Park.

He is described as between 28 and 30 years old, 5ft8, and was wearing a white baseball cap, a white short sleeved t-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Detective Constable Derek Rennie from Giffnock CID said: “This was a very disturbing incident for the victim and it is important that we trace the man responsible.

“The victim spoke to a man right after the incident who is believed to have seen the suspect making off. This man is described as around 40 years old and was in the company of a young girl and four black and white spaniel dogs. He was standing next to his maroon/red saloon coloured car parked on Netherlee Road. We would like to speak to this man as he may be able to provide us with information about the suspect.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Giffnock CID on 101. Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
