This weekend, the Queen’s Park Camera Club is opening its doors as part of the Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival.
The club is the oldest camera club in Glasgow and has a proud history of working with the local community and of documenting our wonderful home city.
It will be displaying images from its 1955+55 project, documenting the changes in Glasgow over 55 years. Linking with the Doors Open theme, there will also be a chance to see the architecture of the Southside through a photographers eyes.
They will also be showcasing Imagined Scenes, a joint project between QPCC, Shawlands Academy and the Southside Film Festival that features film, photos and stories.
Throughout the day, the club’s friendly members will be on hand to give you advice on how you can improve your own photography.
The building, at 54 Millbrae Road, Glasgow, is open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September.
Teas, coffees and delicious home baking will be available for a nominal donation.
