SPARE a thought for your paper boy or girl over Christmas — two Extra delivery girls are dedicating their festive earnings to charity.

Jasmine Latter (18), from Newton Mearns, has been delivering the newspaper for five years with help from younger sister Michelle (16).

The girls use the money from their paper round to fund an annual act of kindness — filling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

The festive packages — which the sisters cram with goodies — are sent to underprivileged children all over the world especially for Christmas.

This year Jasmine, currently studying medicine at university, and Michelle, an S5 at Mearns Castle high school, have managed 30 boxes between them.

Jasmine told The Extra: “I realise how fortunate I am, and just want to make a difference to the lives of some children around the world”.
