Make sure to get along to the Pedalwise ER Family Cycling Festival on Saturday October 29 from 11am-4pm and help celebrate the opening of a new Bike Hub in the Park.

Plan now to take part in this first ever event of its kind in Rouken Glen, East Ren’s ‘jewel in the crown’ park.

The event is part of the Big Bike Revival, a national campaign that encourages more people to get cycling, and is a great opportunity for families and people of all ages to enjoy the freedom and fun of cycling.

The launch of the Pedalwise ER Family Cycling Festival includes loads of fun and free activities with an off-road bike trail for aspiring Danny MacAskill’s, guided-rides round the park, cycle skills training for first time, nervous or lapsed cyclists, and free Dr Bike sessions to get your bike in shape for the the days ahead. Don’t miss out on the chance to get your Bike Blinged for Halloween, earn yourself a refreshing smoothie using pedal power on the ‘smoothie bike’, and have some fun on the ‘wonky bikes!’

Gordon Keenan, chief officer for Neilston Development Trust and its Pedalwise ER project said: “The Pedalwise ER Family Cycling Festival will be a wonderful day for the community, and visitors to the Park, and aims to help put the Pedalwise Bike Hub on the map as a great place to cycle to and from as more and more people start cycling.
