Residents’ wall misery

Vandalism has caused misery for residents of a quiet nook in Cathcart, behind the Couper Institute.

A wall at the back of the building has been wrecked by vandals and residents say they have been asking for it to be repaired for some five years.

A small path which runs from Linwood Court to Monreith Road East has had a temporary fence put up to deter the youths from accessing the wall.

However, residents claim it is not enough and the vandalism has now exceeded the fencing.

At one point, there is a 15 foot drop from the broken wall to the are at the back of the institute.
