SOUTHSIDERS looking to fulfill their resolutions have received a helping hand.
Glasgow club Bellahouston has been transformed into one of the most modern fitness centres in Glasgow, thanks to £590,000 of investment.
The gym, which is one of the most popular in Glasgow with more than 700,000 attendences per year, officially re-opened to the public on Monday.
The southside club now boasts more than 80 cardiovascular and strength conditioning machines, a larger weight training area and a new personal training space.
Further work is now being carried out to create a new ‘functional training area’ including the latest TRX training equipment.
Chair of Glasgow Life, Councillor George Redmond, said: “The Glasgow Club is Scotland’s premier leisure and fitness network and the improvements made at Bellahouston will help us build on that position. Every year there are more than five million attendances at our facilities citywide so it is vital that we continue to invest in the very latest equipment.
“The Glasgow Club Bellahouston is one of the busiest centres and the refurbishment will see it go from strength to strength in 2012. ”.
