Southside residents are being encouraged to have their say on the future of the old Victoria Infirmary site.

The Victoria Forum, which represents 3 Community Councils is inviting members of the public to have their say on the future of the southside site an event on February 22 at Langside Parish Church.

The old hospital site has been bought by Sanctuary Housing Association who are holding their own drop-in consultation sessions, starting February 9 and 11 at Langside Library, after which they say they will produce a Masterplan by March, followed by a planning application.

The public meeting is intended to add value to Sanctuary’s sessions by enabling community discussions among small groups of local people on major topics of interest to them including housing, transport and community needs.

The meeting on February 22 starts at at 7. 30 pm at Langside Parish Church, Ledard St, Batttlefield. More information is available on the forum website www.newoldvicky.org
