Primary colours: Brueghel homage

PUPILS from Our Lady of the Annunciation primary have been casting their artists’ eyes over a 16th century painting — in order to make their own.

Primaries one, two and three toiled over their version of Pieter Brueghel’s Census at Bethlehem right up until Christmas — and the hard work has paid off, as the youngsters can now see their masterpiece exhibited in public.

You might have to go all the way to Brussels to see the original, but OLA’s version is on display at the Couper Institute library, on Clarkston Road, until mid-January.
