I took the photograph while in Jakarta, Indonesia where I work occasionally and was taken on a photo hunt with the local camera club.
Photo hunts are outings usually for organised human interest or landscapes shoots.
Under darkness the contrast of the flames worked best although it took me several attempts to get both of the guys at the right time with the flames fully developed.
The photograph was taken with my Nikon D5100 with Tamron f.2.8 28-75mm set at 1/200th sec at f/4.5, ISO 500 in manual mode with my flash acting as a pulse trigger for two speed light flashguns set up on stands either side of the subjects.
Pic of the Week is in association with Eastwood Photographic Society — photography for all.
